Boss: Baubao Wavewrath
Difficulty: not too hard, the run there is easy, takes maybe 2-3 min, killing him no more than 3 min..
Inspiration: The Ranger's Beacon 2 - Kappa Toucher
Attributes:- 11 blood
- 16 expertise
- 7 wilderness
Build:- Vamp touch
- Vamp bite
- Storm Chaser
- Melandru's Resilence
- Dodge
- Dodge2 [zojun's haste]
- PERSONAL PREFERENCE
- PERSONAL PREFERENCE
I had the last two slots empty, health spikes were too intense for easy use of SoA, needed constant heal from vamp touch. Only condition to send back would be weakness, but again, means you take a break from healing yourself and they already hit for ~10.
Guide: basically, run to him [marketplace > undercity, take a right, follow the path, go from Minas to the res shrine, hit melandru's / heal up, take the right to the kappa field]
when you take his group out, make sure they ball up, by this I mean, all of them run towards eachother and hold for a few seconds. Why wait? 'Cause otherwise they'll mindfreeze chain you and kill you before you can reach him
Equipment:
Weapon Slot 1: +5e sword / +27e/-1enregen offhand [5 putrid cysts in shenzun tunnels or 5 blood drinker pelts in altruum ruins]
Armor: expertise mask & sup expertise, minor wilderness & major/minor vigor.
full druids or sentry chest/legs, druid hands feet.
enjoy, you can also clear out all of the other kappa mobs there [my original target ^^].. not really worth it to me~ only lvl 20 and not 1 gold drop.. only a purple kaineng axe & a gold scroll from the boss.

Kenrii Sea Sorrow... touched!
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v4...ens/kenrii.jpg
I may play with the Melandru's Resilliance build to see what happens. You're basically hexed the entire time your fighting and it may be worthwhile.
Basically Kenrii is surrounded by a group of 4 Jade Kirin and 6 Saltpray Dragons. I used a flatbow to plink at the kirin group when they were away from the dragons.
They will hex you with shared burden so be backing up as you fire. In this way you can pull them away from the other members of Kenrii's mob. Somehow 2 dragons came with me. I persisted and basically got the best of the kirin but had to run away to recharge. Then I went back for the 2 dragons that pulled w/ the kirin. They held aggro so just approaching brought them out.
Then I tried pulling more dragons... no luck. Kenrii comes with the remaining four dragons. What to do? Let him come. You'll be slowed once again, but it's not a big deal since the dragons don't do anything but wand you. W/ Lightning Reflexes up you can stay out of trouble pretty well for a bit. Kenrii will drop in two OoB rounds. Be careful not to OoB when you have backfire on you.
I didn't bother killing the dragons...
EDIT: forgot to mention... take the blessing from the priest at the shrine. Also, I run from Unwaking Waters.
EDIT2: My rating would be easy kill for the boss, but hard overall because he's buried in his mob and medium/hard in terms of time.

Ive been trying to do forestlight and i can never get her to come away from her group. Even if I get a good spawn with her alone if i bow attack her the rest of the group comes running.

then just dodge away and try again..., nice new targets juicey shake and melechric, would be time for me to do the quest to unwaking waters (luxon).
As for hard targets to touch I recommend making 3 weapon sets (any target in fact)
+5 energy axe/sword/nolani wand
+12 energy blood knife offhand +1 bloodmagic (20%) +30 health
+5 energy axe/sword/nolani wand
+12 energy blood knife offhand +15 energy -1 energy regeneration +30 health
wand +15 energy -1 energy regeneration halves blood spell recharge (20%)
+12 energy blood knife offhand +15 energy -1 energy regeneration +30 health
Touch like this:
Touch until you are down to 28 energy, offering of blood, Touch down to 10/5 energy or so, offering of blood, Touch down to 0, switch to your second set, offering of blood, switch back to your first set, touch 4 times, switch back to your second set, touch some more, offering of blood, touch until you are down to 0, switch to third set, offering of blood, switch back to second set, Touch until down to 0, switch to third set, touch down to 5 energy, offering of blood, touch down to 0 energy, switch back to weapon set nr 1, wait a couple of seconds, switch back to the third weapon set, offering of blood, touch a few times until you are back at 0, switch back to your first set for a few seconds, third set offering of blood + touches, first set few sec, third set offering + touches, first set.... rinse and repeat.
If the bosses self heal is too strong to outpower it in the end, take distracting shot.
The item switching can be of great importance when killing some bosses.

GJ Juicey and MelechRic!
I'll edit these targets in.

I thought when you were at ~0 energy and you swapped from say your third set to your 1st set, you'd end up at -25 energy and need to wait awhile before being able to cast again. Maybe I am thinking of cases w/ Exhaustion.
If thats not the case, then i'll gt my bum over to the local +15 /-1 regen weapon/focus shop.

The game now remembers your energy levels, even negative numbers. The + energy set will however allow you to cast OoB, or hit that finishing 'touch' when you otherwise wouldn't be able to. I've found that the + energy gear won't help you kill something that's basically out of your league, but it WILL make something drop faster if swapped correctly. This is simply because you'll be able to concentrate the evil touch in a more focused time frame. I've been playing with the possibility of taking out Milefaun (esurge) using -energy and +energy swaps. He can't heal himeself or esurge you for damage when you have 0 energy after all but I haven't been able to -yet-.

I'll give it a whirl. I have been meaning to get a set, fiiguring that I'd use it at the start for a larger enrgy base, and the remove it when i settled into steady state and needed the regen.
This is just a new idea on how to work the items even more.

No offence but they suck... Blood Magic +1 means jack shit. I got it from the collector and never used it. Sure if i could be arsed to continually switch to it when touching i'd be ok, but theres just not time. It doesn't even affect OoB.
No 20/20 icon and 20 wand? The +30/-2 energy set is purely for kills where you need a bit more umph, never for using OoB in. Losing out on a chance of half recharge will never be beaten.

Why don't you post your skillbar and what boss you were trying to kill? Generally the skill bar is as follows:
Offering of Blood {E}
Vamp Touch
Vamp Bite
Signet of Agony
Plague Touch
Whirling Defense / Lightning Reflexes
Dodge
Zojun's Haste
You can dump one of the running skils for Throw Dirt if you find you're needing to tank a lot. Many of the Warrior bosses hit really hard so evasion + blindness is a good thing.
Also, you need a wand or staff that gives extra energy on top of the 32e you get with a full Druid's set. I recommend going to the Tomb of Primeval Kings and picking up either a Kole's Torment or Milias Pillar. They can be had for 1-2k.
EDIT: you could also post your in-game name and one of the regulars might help you by meeting you in game and going with you.

Evilsod, 20/20 recharge is bloody good indeed...but I love the +30 health ^^ and too bad for me, a 20/20 focus doesn't have that.
As for the -25 energy, yeah you have -25 energy, but with >>> regen, you quickly regenerate to -20 energy, if you then switch back to your +25 energy set, you will have 5 energy; enough to cast offering of blood.
This energy switching allowed me to kill chkkr locust lord that quick without trouble a while ago, with just the usual skillset.
Oh speaking of chkkr locust lord, another way to kill him is to let him finish one twisting fangs when you are at full health, or almost full (just switch from lightning reflexes to dodge when he uses it) and plague touch the bleeding + deep wound.
As for melechric's build, I use that one only for jayne... do you have any other bosses it works perfect on? I still use whirl def + lightning reflexes + throw dirt on most bosses.

Depends on what I'm going against. The above build is mostly for fighting casters and running through areas with a lot of mobs.
The build you use is what I run when I'm going to fight a warrior boss.

I think I miss something about aggro-pull-run etc..
I killed her once, but now I cant pull her alone...Im getting crazy O_o
my skillbar: Vamp bite, Vamp Touch, Plague Touch, Signet of agony,OoB, Unguent, dodge, Zojun H.
anyone can help me? my ranger ign is " Hallissa Silentbow"
EDIT: killed her once again...but that was pure luck :P

Would it be possible to add short guides about each boss? I mean saying Whispering Ritual Lord is easy is all well. But if you don't know how to lure him out you don't stand a chance in hell of killing it.

I was just thinking the same thing, and I started work on it a day or two ago.
What I was going to do is take the Hit List at the top of the page and link the bosses to the short guides people have written throughout the thread.
If your question means, "Can I write a guide in this thread for the Whispering Lord" and wasn't a more general question (which I was answering above) of "Wouldn't it be great if all this information was more accessible and detailed?", then the answer is yes, please.

As for pulling, several techniques work.
First of all, select Jayne, so you can see who he is on the minimap!
First one: Wait until the boss comes out of the group (jaynes aggro circle is away from the group), shoot an arrow and let him come. Take a few steps back, touch him (bleed him/hex him whatever) touch touch touch etc... when an enemy comes close walk back, when he runs away, go to jayne again and finish him off. (he doesn't heal himself)
Second one: Walk to the group, aggro them (including jayne!) and walk away (best tried from the west side) the whole group will follow u, press dodge and check if jayne is still following you (bosses tend to follow longer).
Third one: Dodge to the other side, they reform, wait 15 seconds or so, see if they split up, no? dodge to the other side again, wait 15 seconds again. Keep checking if jayne splits from the group. Sometimes jayne may follow alone.
Fourth one: looks a bit like the second one, but this time don't use dodge, just walk away, keep walking (make sure u have a long free path, don't get hit by the kirin/moss patrol)
Fifth one: Can only be done by a 2 man party. Both players stand on another side of jayne, one pulls the group, another one pulls jayne, this is rather easy and works 80% of the time.
Sixth one: Take ur bow, pull the group, kill a warden, dodge away. rinse repeat, start with the wardens closest to you. Kill jayne in the end (pretty silly if he doesn't drop anything then
Seventh one: press dodge, wait for it to have like 5 seconds left, run in and out, the group will bugger off because dodge breaks the aggro, so will the boss. But when u stand still or walk slower, the boss may come after all (like he has changed his mind).
Note: I have used all these a few times, they do not all seem to work for me every time (can't do it right all the time it seems) but they do work sometimes, I hope this was of help.

Well actually it didn't mean that, its just Whispering Rit Lord was the best example i could think of. I'm sure i gave a quick run through of it earlier except starting from Seafarers rather than Unwaking. Unwaking making the run alot quicker if the spawns go your way.
